Proclad Coatings refreshed the existing showroom frames at Perrys Mansfield, transforming their grey finish to black as part of the dealership's Chery refurbishment.

The brief
As part of the dealership's transition to Chery branding, the existing glazed frontage needed a new finish
to complement the updated showroom identity. Working with SMK Building and Joinery Contractors Ltd,
Proclad completed an on-site coating project to refresh the existing frames.
The agreed scope
The agreed package covered showroom curtain walling and door frames from ground level to the top of
the proposed Chery signage, together with a matching finish to the associated rainwater pipe up to
gutter level. The upper frame sections outside this scope were retained in their existing finish.
The result
The completed black finish gives the coated sections a more defined appearance alongside the Chery
branding. The photographs show how a targeted coating project can change the appearance of an
existing glazed frontage while retaining its frames and glazing.
APPROACH AND TRANSFORMATION
The existing frames were refurbished in place, retaining the glazing and frontage while changing the
colour of the coated sections. The preparation photographs show extensive masking around the glazing,
frame profiles and entrance doors.
The works were planned around an occupied, trading dealership. The project method statement set out
surface cleaning and degreasing, light abrasion and spot priming where required, masking, controlled
spray application, curing and inspection. Vehicle coordination, segregated work areas and weather
monitoring formed part of the planned approach to controlling overspray.
